Athens-Limestone Public Library

This project is a sustainably designed renovation of an abandoned grocery store building revitalized and repurposed as the Athens-Limestone Public Library, which houses children and teen areas, local history room, computer lab, private study rooms, used book store, refreshment area, circulation desk, and meeting rooms for community gatherings and events.

The Athens Library project holds a special place for me because it involved revitalizing not only a building but an area of the city in which I grew up.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, we created a beautiful, new, and modern renovated structure for the city and county to enjoy for many years to come.
