Atop the crest of Highland Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama’s historic Highland Park neighborhood, The Crescent Building is a well-known five-story building offering Class-A offices with incredible views of the city. CMH worked closely with the city and the neighborhood association to develop a design that complimented the adjacent historic residential construction.

First Place in Buildings Category, Central Alabama Chapter of the American Concrete Institute, 1999

We met with the Highland Park Neighborhood Association, a strong association for this historic neighborhood, to hear their concerns.

We made modifications to the design, and we went back to them … We got unanimous approval and a standing ovation, and the reason was — we listened. We really listened to them and reacted accordingly.
