Brent Redmon’s 25-plus years of experience in the industry have afforded him specification-writing and project-management experiences at all phases of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction process. “Success requires collaboration between the client and contractor to produce comprehensive, strategic solutions; effective management of the design and construction teams throughout the entire process; and excellent communication and relationships with team members, from contract management and specifications to regulating agencies and third-party inspectors,” says Brent. “I’m most inspired by projects that solve a problem on a social level or on a tech / building-science level. Museum Architecture, for instance, has always fascinated me because of the way the public and the art must interact.”

Brent’s love of architecture emerged from his childhood as the son of an Architect. Saturdays spent at his father’s office, copying redlines and erasing Mylar drawings, and summers spent at jobsites set a course for his career. “The aha moment came as Dad was the Project Architect & Construction Administrator for John Portman on his beach house, Entelechy II. I spent my weekends and summer break at the jobsite, watching that project grow and finish. I fell in love with it, and the rest is history.”

The Southern Tech Architecture grad and active participant of the Construction Specification Institute enjoys trips to St. Simon’s Island whenever possible; family time, including their 17-year-old Shih-tzu, Sabrina; photography; sketching; and college-hunting with his daughter.
