First United Methodist Church Renovation

CMH was the architect for a historical restoration/renovation of the First United Methodist Church in downtown Cullman, Alabama. The original sanctuary building, as well as the adjacent later phases of construction, were severely damaged by a tornado in April 2011. CMH was tasked with updating the sanctuary interior, while still preserving the historical integrity of the building. Included in the renovation were new stained glass windows throughout, new roofing for the entire campus, new classroom layouts, new sheet rock for the entire three-story sanctuary building, new electrical, new lighting, new HVAC, code upgrades, and an extensive amount of refinished wood.

The sanctuary was re-opened for Sunday services in March 2012.
